HydraFacial 101: My Honest Guide to Choosing Your Glow Level

If you ask me what treatment I recommend to almost anyone who walks through our doors at Blue, it's HydraFacial. It's gentle, there's zero downtime, and you walk out glowing the same day. The only real question is which level makes sense for you — and that's something I get asked constantly, so I wanted to break it down the way I do for clients in the room.

The Four Steps Behind Every HydraFacial

No matter which level you book, every HydraFacial follows the same core process: cleanse and exfoliate, a gentle acid peel to loosen dead skin, painless vortex extraction to clear out congestion, and finally a deep infusion of hydrating serum. It's that combination — exfoliate, extract, hydrate — that gives you the instant glow people associate with this treatment.

Signature, Deluxe, or Platinum — Which Is Right for You?

  • Signature ($199, 30 minutes) — the classic experience, all four steps, beautifully done. Perfect if this is your first HydraFacial or you just need a quick reset between busy weeks.
  • Deluxe ($274, 45 minutes) — everything in Signature plus a booster serum customized to your skin and LED light therapy layered in. I recommend this when someone has a specific concern they want to target, like dark spots or fine lines.
  • Platinum ($349, 60 minutes) — the full experience, including lymphatic drainage to de-puff and boost circulation. This is the one I tell clients to book before a big event, when you want your skin looking its absolute best.

My Favorite Booster Add-On

If you're doing a Deluxe or Platinum, you'll also choose a booster — Britenol for tone and pigmentation, Dermabuilder for fine lines, Alastin TriHex if you're recovering from another procedure, HA HydraLock for dry skin, or ZO Rozatrol if your skin runs sensitive or reactive. Honestly, my go-to is HA HydraLock — my skin drinks it up.
